How to Lengthen Store Bought Drapery Panels

I was cleaning up some photo files from my old, crispy, kept catching on fire Android and forgot about this great drapery project I did for a client.

What do you do when you have super tall windows, want to stay budget friendly and add some custom details?

In this case, we found Pottery Barn panels on clearance and added some fun details for a custom solution.

First, I measured out the header fabric :

Finished Height – store bought panel length + 3 inches(for the allowance) x 2(I self-lined) = header size

I overlapped my header by one inch and then sewed to make a “sleeve” of sorts:

Then I inserted my fun accent fabric:

Pin, Pin, Pin ~ it was super slippery.  Then I took it to the machine:

Ready to be hung by clip rings:

 Love ya,

Bev
