If you are new here today, this post is a great place to start.
I have to say, I love Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I was a little leery of it at first – I had read great reviews and not so raving reviews. It has it’s place – and so does all the other tried and true paints. Bottom line is the end look is what dictates the type of paint in my humble opinion.
Here is the pantry door before. The cabinets were previously painted a beautiful olive-y green and glazed, but the pantry door and columns framing the island really stood out in their original white.
The columns on the island were just “there”.

And here it is after – (I so promise I am buying a real camera and will quit using my phone – any recommendations for the challenged?):
I added a little distressing in “Old Ochre” left from the mirror project to the pantry door.
Now the room is harmonious and the details are united.

That made such a difference! I love the way the chalk paint transformed the stark white. I'm still waiting for the time to paint my first big piece with ASCP. I've bought the paint. Now, I just need the time!
